Portsmouth and South Coast Business Week We’re back!

The annual showcase and celebration of our business community, designed around our four I’s; inform, invest, interact and inspire – and culminating in The News Business Excellence Awards.
The last three years have welcomed over 3,000 business delegates to over 80 events and Open Door sessions, and reached over 20,000 individuals through our Facebook Live videos. We’ve seen events Chaired by Lord David Willets and guest speakers like Will King (founder of King of Shaves) in locations across Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth and Southampton.

We’re also now working closely with the teams at Venturefest South and Shaping Portsmouth Conference teams so as not to duplicate the existing amazing support that already exists in the region. Venturefest South is designed for our Innovators and Investors, our Start-ups and early-stage businesses, and showcases and celebrates regional innovation. Shaping Portsmouth Conference focuses on Transforming Portsmouth.

“Portsmouth City Council are delighted to be supporting the fourth Portsmouth and South Coast Business Week.  This week gives a great opportunity to showcase the strength and depth of business within the city and its outlying districts.

Portsmouth’s GVA has reached £6.7bn, growing by 8.9 per cent last year, faster than the national average and 920 new businesses were set up, making Portsmouth the top city in the region for net growth.

We remain committed to supporting our businesses and ensuring their success. This week will enable networking with peers, to be informed of the latest support available, be inspired with creative solutions and offers opportunities to engage with leading skills providers to help develop your workforce.
